Instant Pot Bone Broth Rice

So I used to use a rice cooker that was huge and sent out steam just like the Instant Pot and it lasted me a long time…still works at 10+ years but it was starting to not be as accurate.

Well now I only use the Instant Pot for rice! It is convenient and I can cook rice and other dishes together if I wanted to. So I put away my old one for a just in case situation.

So white rice in the Instant Pot is very easy…there is a rice setting which works great…all you have to do is measure the rice in the cup they provide, then wash the rice and put the right amount of water using the lines inside the liner…for instance if you have 2 cups of rice, you put the water up to the 2 cup marker in the liner…and that’s it!

In this recipe all I did is replace the water with bone broth that I made…easy right?  My boys love rice and every week they ask for kimbop (rice rolled inside dry roasted seaweed). So I thought why not make rice a little healthier for them. They still love it!

Hope you enjoy!

Instant Pot Bone Broth Rice

White rice with extra benefits.

  • 2 cups short grain white rice
  • bone broth, enough to fill to 2 cup marker
  1. Wash rice in the liner until pretty clear, then level the rice so it is evenly spread out

  2. Add bone broth until it reaches the 2 cup marker in the inside of the liner.

  3. Close the lid, turn valve to seal and press the rice setting. When it beeps let it naturally release for 10 minutes then release any remaining pressure.

    Stir and enjoy!
